We Have The Strength!

Those of us who work out know that we are building muscles and strengthening our bones. We know when we are committed to a regular work out we will continue to have strong muscles and bones. When we are committed to worship, we can have strength through God. When we are committed to worship, we can know God will watch our back and give us strength in all we do. Physical strength is great to have to keep our bodies healthy, but the strength God gives us is far more powerful and exciting as He can help us truly make a difference.

1 Samuel 17:45-47 “David replied to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!’”

Dear Lord, we know because of David’s worship and belief in You, he was able to win the battle with Goliath. We know we have that same strength in us if we will only worship and believe. We come to You today, Lord, in worship. We want to honor and praise You. Please give us strength throughout this day to conquer the enemy and make a difference. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. We owe God our worship and when we exercise being in His presence, we grow stronger daily. I love the fact that we are much stronger than we give ourselves credit for-love the encouraging words. Keep writing.
